My Second Stitch Fix (March 2014)

I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't underwhelmed with my second Stitch Fix. I am definitely one to be honest with what I like and don't like, but I do understand it's all in the mystery of the Stitch Fix box. Just to give you an update, after my first Fix, I rated what I received and placed in the comments of what I would like to see in my next box that I would like a cardigan and a necklace. They did actually fulfill this, which I was impressed with.

Here goes…

(1) Bay to Baubles - Mini Pentagon Strands Short Necklace

Like I mentioned, I asked for a necklace, but I did ask for a statement necklace. In the description by my stylist, she calls this a gold necklace, which is obviously silver, which confused me a little.

VERDICT: Sent Back
This is just simply not my style. I guess I was hoping for more of a statement piece, but I appreciate the stylist listing to my request. It felt extremely light and actually kind of cheap, which I was not expecting from Stitch. Price: $34

(2) Mystree - Clove Twist-Back Striped Cardigan

I was really excited to get a cardigan. For me, it so hard to find a good one, that's not too thin, too thick,  just right. I loved this material. It felt very well-made.

VERDICT: Sent Back
Surprised?? Well, when I tried this on, I was so disappointed. It has this twist in the back that makes the cardigan gather in the back to make it not look so drapey (good in theory), however, on me, it made me look like I had a huge duck tail sitting on my bottom (and I don't need anymore bulk in that area). This one made me a little sad, but it was way too pricey for what it was anyway. Price: $68

(3) 41 Hawthorn - Natasha Front Pocket Sleeveless Blouse

My first impression of this blouse was not great, but I loved the color.

VERDICT: Kept
When I tried this on, it definitely looked a lot better on than what I had anticipated. I paired this with my skinny jeans I received from the first Fix, and it looked great. It was a little pricey, but I didn't want to lose my styling fee credit, so I went for it. Price: $58

(4) Pink Martini - Oise Boat Neck Dolman Sleeve Sweater

This is terrible. Horrible. Not my style in anyway. It's a black sweater that cuts off halfway on your waist and the sleeves were about 3/4 length.

VERDICT: Sent Back (Duh!)
This is awful. Especially for a short person, sweaters should never end at the middle of your waist. Yikes! Price: $68 (Seriously.)

(5) LA MADE - Logan Jersey Swing Skirt

I love a good skirt, especially one that is comfortable. This one seemed so versatile, too.

VERDICT: Sent Back
I can buy a black swing skirt anywhere. I actually just got one the other day at Old Navy for $10 that looked a heck of a lot better than this one. It definitely did not flatter my figure, and made me look bigger somehow. Not to mention, I could not believe the price on this. Price: $68

So….
I still plan to get another Fix. I was definitely disappointed by this box, but I did get one thing out of it. I think next time I won't request any specific items and just let the stylist do their thing.

Do you agree with what I chose??
