My First Stitch Fix is HERE!!! (February 2014)

So excited...

MY FIRST STITCH FIX IS HERE!!!!

Overall, I was really pleased with the experience. Here's the goods….

(1) Dylan and Rose: Ruthie Cross-Front Side-Ruched Top

My first impression of this top was not good. I did love the color and figured that it could go with a lot. BUT, I am short with large hips and I could tell that the shirt would stop right at my waist. I prefer shirts that go to at least the largest point of my hips.

VERDICT: Sent Back
When I tried this on, I kept an open mind. However, I was not impressed. The ruching did exactly what I thought it would, and stopped short of my waist. It was really flattering on, but I know I would be pulling it down all day long. Price: $48

(2) THML: Kahlo Embroidered Racerback Tank

This piece definitely jumped out at me. I usually don't wear anything like this, but it was definitely my style. I was really impressed by the embroidery and how soft the material was.

VERDICT: Kept!
This is such a beautiful shirt, and it looked just as good on as it did when I first saw it. I love its versatility and the brightness of the color. It is so flattering on my curvy shape. I was really impressed with the stylist on this one!! Price: $48

(3) Evolution by Cyrus: Tilda Colorblock Raglan Sweater

This sweater was so unbelievably soft!! The color is so bright and beautiful. However…

VERDICT: Sent Back

The reason why I sent this one back, is because it just wasn't worth the money. My stylist was on point, and it was somewhat flattering, but I just bought a similar shirt at Target for $15 and couldn't bear to buy one for 6 times as much. Yes, THAT much more. I love sweaters, but the fact that it was so pricey AND looked like a casual sweatshirt deterred me from buying it. (This was the most expensive piece out of the whole Fix!) Price: $94

(4) Peach Love Cream: Cheyanne Printed Dolman Sleeve Cardigan

First of all, I really was hoping I would get a cardigan. I have been looking, but its hard to find a good one.

VERDICT: Sent Back
The print was just a little bazaar, and not really my style at all. I'm assuming the designer wanted me to "branch out" a little, but this completely missed the mark. The way it fit was really strange too. The sleeves had a band around the end that tucked into where my elbow is and made it a 3/4 length sleeve. I found myself continuing to tuck it back in, and would just lose my mind doing this all day. The best thing about it was the price! Unbelieveable! But I promise, it still wasn't worth it. Price: $28

(5) Kensie Jeans: Johnny Skinny Jeans

I was really excited to get some jeans from Stitch Fix (although I kinda was hoping for some colored ones!) I have read a lot of reviews and heard a lot of girls say the jeans tend to fit perfectly.

VERDICT: Kept!

I have never spent so much on pants before, but as a girl, its hard to find flattering jeans that ACTUALLY FIT. They really were perfect! I really can wear these with anything and I love that. I had been on the hunt for a good pair of skinny jeans for (I hate to admit) years. Price: $88
